Printers can print in text mode, and in graphics mode. Graphics mode is much slower.
To print in text mode, prepare a text file, and send it to the printer with the "???" command.
To use the report itself, you can use REPORT FORM ... ASCII to create the text file.
Since aligning the text is difficult, I created class #9991. I use it all the time for creating text-mode reports. The main problem is that you have to re-write your reports. Most features of the report writer are included.
