Make sure you use SEPARATE foxuser tables for each version. You can use the -c switch to point to a specific foxuser table in the shortcut as in:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual FoxPro 8\vfp8.exe" -Cc:\foxpro\vfp8\profiler.fpw
