I have several places where I want to use a DropDownList for a lookup. One of those places has 28,000 records to associate with it...
Is that too many?
If so, what else can I do?
Also, for my lookups, I want to be able to type in the first several letters of my target and get progressively closer. However, it seems that the DropDownList only responds to the 1st letter.
Is there a setting I missed to allow multiple letters to be used to get progressively closer? Or is there a different control I should consider using?

BTW - I'm glad to finally not be asking how do I get it to work kinds of questions!
