I've never used Crystal Reports before and I'm posting this on behalf of a colleague.

We have two tables in a 3rd Party Application that participate in a Crystal Report. We're trying to link the tables in the following way:

SELECT table1.onefield, table2.anotherfield ;
FROM table1, table2 ;
WHERE table2.type + table2.code = table1.type + table1.code

Table2 has a primary key of Type + Code.

My colleague says that Crystal can't handle this. They said they've tried it through the Visual Designer and Crystal won't allow it. I'd be surprised if Crystal couldn't do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction? We're using Crystal Reports 8.5.
