>I am pretty sure that I have set my custom classes as the default class to use on previous computer but I can't seem to recall how I did it. I am NOT talking about field mapping for drag and drop operations. I mean on the little pull down list labeled 'view classes' where it shows 'Add.. Standard ActiveX MyControls' I want MyControls to be the default there instead of standard.

Tools/Options/Controls then set the Visual Class libraries option group. Add your libraries there and be sure to "Set as Default" button.
