The short answer, Dean, is PROBABLY but not certainly.
If you have ANY reference to the form or any reference to any object ON THE FORM stored in a variable OUTSIDE OF THE FORM, then I believe the answer is NO. This is called a "dangling reference" and prevents ANY kind of release from occurring, although it NEVER TELLS YOU THAT!!!
I've always said that VFP NEEDS to tell us when it decides not to release someting that I explicitly tell it to release, but I am apparently in a teensie minority on the issue. People actually have argued to me that it is a good thing that it works the way it does.
