I am using the professional version of ZoneAlarm too, and it seems to be working great.

>There is also a free version of ZoneAlarm, which I used for a while. It worked fine and was easy to install. Now I use the Professional Version which did not cost very much and it makes my Internet experience much more enjoyable! I will check out AVG - thanks for the info. I have never liked Norton and McAfee is not what it once was.

>>Have you thought about AVG Anti-Virus and ZoneAlarm Pro for your firewall? I use both and am pretty happy with them. AVG is free, and it's recommended by the guys at TechTV. ZoneAlarm Pro is pretty inexpensive and also recommended by the guys at TechTV (http://www.techtv.com)

>>>Never thought I'd see the day where I'd post a general computing question here, but I'm desperate!
>>>
>>>I have an XP Pro laptop with Norton 2003. I recently bought the entire Norton Anti-Security 2004 (firewall, new AV for 2004, etc.) It has totally blown my system configuration. I get the XP equivalent of illegal operations right and left. Excel, Word, and VFP all crap out, and I get bizarre virtual memory messages that I've never seen before in my life.
>>>
>>>I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times. NAV 2004 will work for a little while, and then POOF! It disappears off the screen, and then it won't run in auto-protect mode anymore.
>>>
>>>17 years of virtually zero-maintenance computing for me, and then the last 72 hours have been system-hell.
>>>
>>>I've uninstalled Norton 2004, but Norton 2003 won't re-install.
>>>
>>>Am I better off with McAfee?
>>>
>>>Thanks,
>>>Kevin
