Yesterday I received an intriguing business proposal from MS.

I translated everything because the invitation I received was in french.


So like I said intriguing not because of what was said but because of what was not said. So I went to MY PERSONAL WEB SITE like mentioned on the invitation card.

I then entered the provided password. It did'nt work 8-<
I tried again entering that password in uppercase, and then lowercase without more luck.

I then entered the word "Invité" - Guest in french - because the password did'nt work and I was told to enter "Invité"

That also did'nt work 8-<<

So now what?? I then tried the word "Guest". And that worked.

In the end this looks like an advertisement to the reporting services coming soon from MS.

I saw a presentation to our user's group recently about that product and it looks very promising. But I digress. Let me tell you why I thank MS.


While building apps it happens that there are things happening in my apps, like bugs or my app does'nt do what it should do, and that p*sses me off because some times those are things that should'nt have happened in the first place. And I wonder. Am I the only one doing that?

And then comes a HUGE corporation with ENORMOUS power to control every steps involved in an efficient project management.

And they made what is apparently a mistake that should'nt have happened if enough testing had been done.
