Haydn,

I'm not using Crystal Reports but am having a similiar experience which may or may not be related.

Inside my .exe I have a menu button to run a report with a "DO param.prg". Inside the param.prg, if the user selects to view to screen, there is a line "REPORT FORM param PREVIEW".

This has always worked and still does. However, I am presently writting a "wrapper" to run various functions inside the .exe programmatically. The wrapper creates a .prg and compiles it into a .fxp before programmatically starting the .exe. The startup.prg in the .exe sees the .fxp and runs it. The .fxp will have a line "DO param.prg" just like the menu pad has. However, now, when the "REPORT FORM param PREVIEW" is run the report will only stay on the screen for maybe two seconds and then close. When it closes, the code following will try to run but all tables which are supposed to be open are no longer open and the code crashes.

No telling. I've tried everything that I can think of to keep the report window open but I can't.

If anybody has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

Ed
