Status bar won't help, because I want the info to be related to a specific on-screen graphic (in this case, a disabled command button). The graphic will not even be able to get focus, so showing the extra info contextual would be problematic.

Actually, in looking at our main screen, we don't even have the status bar showing anyway. *smile*
