>>>Michelle,
>>>You will only need VFP500.DLL (and I think one other - OLEAUT32.DLL???) to run a VFP5 app. However, if you have a set of 5 disks, these must be for third party software or specifically for the app in question. I don't know of any need for such a vast amount of DLL files to run a VFP5 app.

>>I did some looking in my VFP book and found that it's called the "FoxPro Runtime Library". Unfortunately, it doesn't say how to get them. I found out what they're called in the section about having VFP make an installation program. I don't know if they're called DLLs or not; that's what the former programmer labelled them as on the disks. I know if the computer doesn't have this installed, when you try to run the app it says something about not being able to find the VFP support files.

Michelle,
The 'support library' referred to in the documentation used to be VFP300.esl, in VFP 3.0 which was the 'Extended Support Library'. This was discontinued for VFP5.0 where the ESL was subsituted for DLL's for higher performance gains. The ones you are looking for are VFP500.DLL, VFP5.DLL and VFP5.ENU. You should also include the type library, VFP5.TLB. Search for these files in thw Windows/System directory, and in the directory where VFP 5.0 is installed.
