>i do have some question... when i create an exe file for my program and when i access it to the network, do i need to install a vfp software to all my pc? and where im going to set the path name? do i need to create a .prg?

No. You only install the VFP runtimes in each workstation. This is accomplished with an installer program (InstallShield comes with VFP7+, an install wizard with version up to VFP6).

For best performance with less network traffic, copy the exe to every workstation andd create the temp files in each station. In the main program set the path to popint to the data folder in the central server. You can use either a drive mapping(which then will have to be set up in every PC), or you can use UNC with \\{servername}\{datapath}
