No. I am not saying it is an error in the SQL language in terms of VFP's implementation. It is my mistake or error in writing the code incorrectly. What I would like is for the compile to catch this when the prg is compiled which the compiler doesn't. I am asking, is it a problem or oversight in the compiler rather than in the SQL.
