thanks all for your suggestions. I switched the cables, matched settings of the NIC's, I turned auto off and switched to full 100. Nothing really changes. I have no virus checkers running. Adding a third computer really confused me. The network traffic it used was in between the Dual and the laptop. The funny thing is the client sees the same thing. It's very hard for me to believe this has something to do with VFP code. However, we think the problem is moot for now because we were able to improve the performance enough to now.
