With more and more people getting into both WinForms and WebForms, I think knowing the differences has value, even if only tangential to a specific post.

A few weeks ago, I responded to a Webform question regarding dropdowns, and gave a response regarding displaymember/valuemember, when in fact the prop names are different in Webforms.

I received basically the same response that you did. I hardly thought I was 'wasting time', since I and possibly someone else learned something.
