Hi Timothy,
Try deleting the association to .dbf in Tools->Folder Options File Types tab. Then in Windows Explorer browse to a .dbf and double click. When asked for which program to use to open the file select VFP8.
I'm using W2K and I find it interesting that I have no File Type association that I have been able to find to the .dbf extension. Perhaps in the registry?
>Before I reinstalled VFP v8, clicking on a .dbf file in a directory would bring up the file in browse mode in the CURRENTLY running vfp instance. Now doing that, it executes another instance of vfp. Is there a way to always have the currently running instance be the only one?
Regards,
Mike
