Hi Fabio

Is INDEX ON .T. better than INDEX ON "A"?

I find no difference in size of CDX or time to INDEX ON. Is there speed difference with SEEK?

For > 100000 I have found that ON T. is lightly more express.

For 1 Million records and 0.5 Million seek ( time in ms ):
FORMAT INDEXING	KEYMATCH
		 .F.	'A'	.T.	'B'
IDX NO COMPACT	661	711	981	751
CDX 1472	1492	751	902
1. BUILD a IDX is 2X faster (for 10 Mill with NTFS compression and INDEX ON $0 i found that IDX is 3X faster)

2. Result for pure index seek they are contrasts.

Fabio
