Make a small table. Instead of entering ID's in code, enter the user ID's in that small table and use a join instead of all the or's.
>I am writing a select statement for a website which uses foxpro as the backend database.
>It is a very long statement since it is for a Master UserID and Password which includes many users. so I query the database checking if any of the id's match any of the ideas included in this list of users. there are many OR statements, which causes the program to crash. I divided it up into Unions also but it is still too long - is there any other better way of running this?
>Please respond, Ive been working on this for quite a while now.
>Thanks.
