Hi Kevin.

>I was wondering what causes FPT corruption on file-server based tables

There are lots of things that cause corruptions of memo files, indexes, or tables on a file server. Some of the things I've personally run into are:

- viruses (not as common a problem anymore assuming an AV program is used *and* the virus definition files are kept up-to-date)

- flaky network interface cards on the server and/or a workstation

- users turning off their systems when they're done for the day without properly exiting the application

- write caching turned on for the server hard drive

There are likely many other possible causes, too.
