Oh, so this is a validation problem. The overtime field shouldn't be changing to 0 unless you did it in code. Are you replacing the field used for its controlsource or changing the Value property of the textbox? You may want to SET STEP ON and check the value of the textbox right before you change the salary and then right after to see if something you're doing there is changing the overtime.
