Just a small comment...

It's been my experience that 'application is not responding' is not a phenonemon limited to VFP applications.

I've seen it for numerous applications, including Office products. The common thread, in my estimation, is that I've asked it to do something that is fairly voluminous/extensive without need for GUI interaction and Windows (OS) simply makes the incorrect judgement. It can, and should, be much much smarter in this regard. And some day it will be.

cheers

>Another related problem is that VFP will often display 'Not Responding' in the task manager even though underneath the application is still processing data. One user repeatedly 'ends task' despite numerous explanations that the 'not responding' should not be trusted for VFP applications. The most frustrating thing is that he is insistent that the program had 'crashed' even though I've shown him proof that the application is still running.
