Somebody should post this over on that VB newsgroup thread that tore into John Petersen.

>>>I just purchased "Microsoft Windows Architechure for Developers Training" from Microsoft Press. On page 105 is a chart listing Microsoft's development tools and the features of each. Here's what it says regarding VB & VFP:
>>>
>>>VB: Create Reusable software components (ActiveX Controls), C/S development capabilities
>>>VFP: Object-oriented, C/S development capabilties.
>>>
>>>Further down the page it says:
>>>"Because they provide these characteristics, the following Visual Studio components are considered object-oriented programming languages:
>>>
>>>- Visual C++
>>>- Visual FoxPro
>>>- Visual J++"
>>
>>Way to go.
>
>Now we just need to get those who are paying for development this information so that they may have a little more insight into choosing the proper tool.
