THanks for your reply. Just for fun, I decided to try this in FoxPro 2.6. I had to shorten the parameter count to 24 when calling a FUNCTION, but the PROCEDURE call was just fine with my 40 parameters.

So I would emphasize again that I have deduced that there is no perceived limit to parameters if passed as a PROCEDURE call - DO program WITH parm1, parm2... etc. And probably also no limit if setting parameters into a class?

And since this has been possible all along, might it not also be assumed that it will continue to be possible?

Not that I really care, as having so many parameters is unweildy anyway - but sometimes one has to maintain inherited code, which is the case here that prompted me to start this thread...
