True Victor, the announcement is unrelated to foxpro. It is an effort (not tested by myself and beta state) to deliver a set of python-based data-aware tools to both:
- the python community looking for business-IT tools,
- the vfp user community in search of cross-platform tools.

The projects relies on python and wxpython an effort (still on its way but usable) to offer support for wxwidgets (cross-platform native UI support) from within python.

I cannot comment neither on dabo nor on wxpython (still maturing) but can definitely tell you that python is really nearer to foxpro (syntax-wise and productivity-wise) than any other MS-based technologies. Python rocks!
