Mike I think I missed your point concerning contradiction. In Czarist Russia, there were no “representatives” and certainly no voters. A Revolution changed all of that for better or worse. With the ruling class in is not uncommon to go from one tyrant to another even though the system of government has “a new name” and promises, which it will not keep.

The Republican form of Democracy, Socialism, Fascistism and all other forms of government have one basic fault. They are controlled and influenced by one or more humans. This makes it difficult to predict the outcome.

“Come the Revolution we will do it right this time”! Doing it “right” frequently has not occurred. :)
