Those squares I have seen in memo fields in vfp6, from formating that vfp does not support unless you have the rich text support in the control displaying it. I am in vfp 6 sp5, so I can't give you any help in vfp8.

Actually, when we go to use that text, there are spaces between each character, not the squares. This happens running the same code, data, ect. Only diff is VFP8. I'm just curious as to what the difference is.
