>I read your mind before even reading your post ;). I tried this yesterday and noticed the two variables had a length size of one character bigger than they should have been. My solution, for now, is to SUBSTR() the strings to the length that they need to be.

That sounds like a band-aid on the problem, but not the real cure. I still think you should set a breakpoint on the variable and see what's changing it.
