You can use WinSock communication. According our experience you should optimize transfer between standalone application and central server using distributed applications.
Using 56K telefone line is very slow.
Better will be to use CableTV Internet communication or fiber optic WAN. In long run, if all stores are in Scopie, this will be cheapest solution.
