It's hard to tell if it's bug or feataure. Anyway following preserves all browse settings.
brow preference myord
IMO, BROWSE command is a development tool. The Grid control should be used in applications.
>
>I got a client still using old browse command, in VFP 7. They use the PREFERENCE to save the local browse layout, mainly the column orders. Uesr is able to rearrange the order(display sequencial order, not sort) of all columns in the browse and next time opens it, the order stays.
>
>It works to all but 1 field, Net Price, which is a calculated field. The Net price field refuses to stay and always falls to the very end.

>Tried following on MS sample table, ORDERITEM
>
>brow preference myord fields UNIT_PRICE,QUANTITY,TOTAL=UNIT_PRICE*QUANTITY
>
>Then, rearrange the column order, close browse, reopen it. The UNIT_PRICE and QUANTITY will stay, but the TOTAL is always the last column.
