I have studied my problem a little bit more, and the situation is like this:
On earlier programs I have written, I display records one by one in regular text boxes in a a form. Then, the data from memo fields may be displayed in editboxes without any problems. Whenever I move to another record (using txtbuttons), the editbox reflects the changed memo data.

But when I try to create a new program today, I am not able to make this work for me. I have tried displaing the records in a grid or in a browse window, but the editbox will show only the data from the first record, no matter how much I navigate in the grid or the browse window.

Maybe I am overlooking something, but I can't see what it may be.
