in your main prg file -
include this one line at the very top [this is for brute force approach]

on shutdown quit

then recompile and try again.
but ? what does 'cannot close the vfp' mean to you ?
are you running your compiled exe application from INSIDE the vfp IDE ?

also - make sure you have in your main prg file
