You might take a look at LinkPoint which is part of CardServices International. They provide a credit card gateway with many options. In particular they provide an API which can be accessed via various progarmming languages as follows:

Although Visual FoxPro is not supported directly, you could look at some of the HTML, perl, ASP/.NET, VB/.NET, C#, etc, examples an put something together in Visual FoxPro that would send a credit card transaction which their API could handle. I've recently done something like this in perl and I notice I could send the transaction in XML.
