It's late, I'm tired, I can only ask dumb questions at this hour.
I just installed 8.0 and brought up a couple of forms created under 7.0.
All the borders for text boxes and control buttons look plain. The shadow effect I see with 7.0 isn't there. To see if it was because of something lost in modifying a form created with 7.0 I created an entirely new form with 8.0. The result was the same bland looking set of controls. At least I can set the background color of the buttons -- even if they look uglier than ????? (I better not say).
