For as much as that link helped, it didn't. It talks about the error happening on a cursor/view that is attached to a GRID. However, in my issue, the view is not attached to the grid. I have a temporary foxpro cursor, non buffered attached to the grid. My views are no way attached to any control view the control source, however, on my table buffered view, when I change the data in the second record using REPLACE, i get the error.

Has anyone seen a work around for this????
