With the upcoming Yukon / VS 2005 release I am just trying to plan next years development projects.

At present we are a VFP 8/9 shop migrating to SQLServer/Oracle on the backend and once that move is complete the pre-requisite of VFP ends. Not that I want to move a second earlier than prudent but my preview of 2.0 / VS2005 / Yukon is pretty interesting so far. I am interested in what features are planned for MM 2005 I already have 2003 but haven't progressed to far VS / VB / c#, still to wordy for me. The new "my" classes in vb 2005 are very interesting but not having the cursoradaptor kinda sucks? as does no scan / replace etc..

Question #1 Since the clr is now part of SQLServer is there any plan to add a VFP like assembly to SQLServer my thought is there is probably a need for a Yukon assembly that provides a base functionality for traversing a "VIEW" / Cursor record by record not SET/SET a couple of functions, commands should do it

Question #2 Is there any plans to provide a Yukon clr based assembly (a rank newbee here so this question might not make any sense) kind of a way to send commands/programs to Yukon on the fly and get back info that a straight SQL statement can't do ??? kind of like codeblock / MM

example

a table in sql has several million records you select the 500 or so that meet the logic, then process/traverse them using a SP / program in SQL Server then send back what is left ???

kind of what I do now with COM+ objects but here would pick up the performance because the data would stay native SQLserver until the very end
