Let me preface this by saying I'm only just beginning to explore SourceGear Vault myself. It evidently does integrate with the Visual Studio IDE but how well if at all that integration works with VFP7 or VFP8 I don't yet know. In any case Vault has its own stand-alone GUI client which presumably would enable you to use it with virtually any development tool. The KB article at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=195 presents some issues to consider when deciding between using the stand-alone client versus the IDE.
