Yes, I was supposing it had a ControlSource to a related table.

Well, if you don't have a ControlSource, I really have no clue what is happening.

TextBoxes can also change their colors if the .ReadOnly or .Enabled properties change. You may want to check whether this is the case. Also, you may want to check the BackColor in the debugger, and see if it changes.
