>We have a large VFP application that is used by 150 or so clients. Looking ahead, we feel it is time to move the system into something like SQL Server/.NET, but I know nothing about these languages. Is DevTeach a good place to get started? Will anyone be there whom I can talk to personally about the migration, possibly someone who has done something similar?

We've been live with our first .NET/VFP application for 1 year now. What I found most useful were:

- attend .NET conference: to learn the possibilities
- attend a .NET course: learn the actual language and way of doing things
- hire an experience .NET consultant to work with you part time on a project
