To Evelyn:

Do you happen to have a shape on the form? In VFP6 I remember having objects getting a weird background color (specially combos and listboxes) for no imaginable reason. Then I just changed the color of one of the shapes on the form, and they started getting this new color. Eventually replaced shapes with containers (achieving pretty much the same graphic effect) and the weird coloring vanished. Maybe you have the same problem.
