Seekford SMTP control - 502 error
I am using the seekford smtp control in a vfp6 app. And it works fine for several clients. But one client is getting a "502 error". The documentation for the control lists 502 in the error codes listing but does not elaborate.
The user is trying this new smtp control for the first time, so i cant say that it had worked for them before. After finding that emails they send via MSOutlook were taking 8+ hours to arrive and/or receive, i contacted their DSL provider who confirmed that the were problems in their area. Outlook would send the msgs, but it would take forever to deliver.
Could the 502 error be caused by this delay?
