Thanks for the earlier code. I am still struggling.
1)When I open up the free table then I need to set the rowsource for the combo to the free tables uniqiue reference and narrative.(This is choice I need to give to the user.
This is data from the other systems free table.

2) And then the other choice to the user is beside the combo I have a button to load up the other form, select a uniqiue reference and narrative from a grid, store the variables(uniqiue reference and narrative) and on close put the captured variables back in the combo(unique ref) and a text box beside it(to show narrative).

The second point I am sure I can handle. The first point I am struggling with.
