Sorry, I posted this question under the wrong topic the first time...

I have a daunting task of working with Fox tables while writing web code in VB.NET. I am using the VFPOLEDB.1 provider and seems to work well. One problem I am having is that when I run a fairly simple SQL "SELECT" command on a large table on a server, it takes over a minute to get the results back. This table has an index on it and according to MSDN, the index will be used to decrease the processing time. Well, this is still way to long and is unacceptable to the users. Does anyone have any ideas to speed this up?
