Once I have a valid user logged in to my application, I need to be able to write their UserIDField with every table insert and update.

My question is, how would I do this in VB.Net, where in VFP I'd have an application property, or even a public variable(!!)? I've read about member variables and the like, but it's just the mechanics of where to put the code that is stopping me at the moment.
