>I have been reading that to install Visual Studio .NET - as well as Web Matrix - 128 MB of RAM is required, and a speed of 500 MHz. Does this also apply to the end-user, or can programs developed for the .NET framework be run on lesser machines? And how about the OS requirements?

Hi Hilmar,
we belived what is written in VS.Net help is true, but appears that
it work very slowly on weak than P4 PC. It require 512MB RAm at least.
anf 5GB free HDD place.
In reality it works very well on P4 3Ghz/1Mb L2, 1G RAM, 120 G HDD(this is our developers workstations).
WebMatrix is less gluttonus, but it is suitable only for ASP.Net programing of developers which do not have VS.Net(VFP, Delphi, etc.). It has not debugger and if you made large web info system youknow how much time will lose to guest where is your mistake.
Don't ever try to install .Net on Win98, we already pilled bad experience with this.
