In Bata/Bolivia, 10-15 users, I had to reindex all tables about once a year, average. I don't consider this a serious problem.

However, I did take some precautions. Mainly, you should make sure that record modifications are followed by a FLUSH command. This is after TableUpdate(), if you use buffering.

Also, if your file server has write caché, turn it off.

It may also help to protect the file server with a UPS.
