What you're seeing is correct in the current version of Visual Studio the builders take more of a "two-tier" approach and assume you are binding your UI controls directly to data (without a middle tier). Since you're not doing this with MM .NET (it's a bad practice) you don't see anything in the MappingName property. This will change in Whidbey (the next version of MM .NET) where one of the options for data binding is "Business Object".
