Hi, everybody
Something that's bugged me about windows for ages is:
When you open an open dialog, the folders and files list is always in that annoying, sideways-scrolling "list" view. Scrolling sideways thru the list confuses the eyes and it's so easy to lose track of what you're searching for. Now, the vast majority of times, I want my view to be "Details", then I click on the "name" or, say, "Date Modified" column.
It really annoys me having to click on the "View Menu" drop-down, to select "list" and then perform the above -every time. I would have thought that there'd be some way of saving your preference to Windows, so that the dialog would always come up as required, but as yet i haven't found it. Have I missed something fundamental?
Any ideas, anyone?
