Thanks a lot for your response to my question about global tool bars. I had a big breakthrough from the Universal Thread messages as well as the Developer's Guide. I never realized that the created oAPP objects in the examples were simply PUBLIC variables with objects attached.

With this in mind, I attached my tool bar to a public variable and it works great. That was the only missing piece of the puzzle! I'm still relatively new to Visual FoxPro and now understand a lot more about how its runtime-created objects work. I can also see how one can do away with a lot of public variables by making them properties of the main public object.
