I might go and give some basic training... if somebody pays the trip... But I don't think this will be practicable.

It would be much cheaper if you find some Jordanian programmer that can offer this kind of course. You may have to find a few additional students, to share the costs of the instructor.

In the meantime, I have the following suggestions.

  • Read the Programmer's Reference. It is part of the VFP help system.
  • Experiment with the samples offered, in the Programmer's Reference or in other places. Try to change a few things in some of the samples, for example, to add features.
  • And, of course, continue asking here in the UT, anything you don't understand.
  • Get some framework samples, to see how they have solved some of the issues. See comment below.

Note about frameworks: A framework can save you of much of the repetitive work of designing an application. A good framework already has solved many of the standard problems, like user login, access to a database server, design of simple forms, main menu, application start and exit, etc.

Of course, you will have to learn not only VFP, but also some things that are specific for the framework!

Some frameworks are free, some commercial. I use Visual Extend; it costs about US$ 500 per developer.

In any case, a good framework should save you lots of work.

    Greetings,

    Hilmar.
