Joel - had the same problem - NO VFP error message just a invalid seek offset error message. Found out it was a Dell printer driver causing the error. Switched printer to HP and had no problems since. Go to google and type in Invalid seek offset and and you will find that there are a number of things that can trigger the error besides an VFP index problem.
